Gallery M: Camino de Santiago de Compostela 2013

A life changing pilgrimage, from St Jean pied de Port in the French Pyrenees, to the Spanish Atlantic coast at Muxía. I trekked for six weeks in all weathers with a collection of wonderful fellow peregrinos(Pilgrims). Please forgive the poor quality photography, due to the tiny, ineffective quality of the ipad mini.

This is great! I love you, Poppy, and think about you a lot. So happy to have met you and had the time to be together.

My dear Sarah, the feeling is mutual. Sacred moments and wonderful conversations. I miss you. Sorry about the linked-in connection. I’m not registered anymore!

So many ups and downs. A wonderful experience captured in such beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. It has spurred me to get my walk from Le Puy in June better planned.

  4. Lynda and Tony says:

Wonderful photos and memories Poppy. Thank you for sharing. God bless. Lynda and Tony xx

  5. These bring it all back …. again. Every time I look at a set of Camino pix I want to start all over. And I probably will, later this year. Thank you Viking Queen

Really glad to oblige! It’s taken a while to get them into a reasonable sequence. I find the sense of time and location become jumbled up. I hope you are able to go again and may life’s camino continue to unravel before you!

  6. Poppy, we must have rubbed elbows on our journey? I left St Jean May 27th 2013, although it took me 56 days to Santiago. I arrived on St. James day. Went to Fisterria for one week. And Like you I said I must do the walk to Muxia alone, I was told that it was magical, and it was. I made this video, which was the first of more to come. I am sure you will see some familiar faces, I see you meet David. Keep on having an exciting journey. click..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f8xig5PSc4

I left in September after finishing my voyage here in Sweden. By the time i reached Muxia there were almost no pilgrims. The Municipal auberge was empty except for me and three others! That would be in October.
